Congratulations Dr. Nishanth!

Nishanth has successfully defended his PhD, entitled “An Investigation of Power Dense Axial Flux Electric Machines to Electrify Off-Highway Vehicles”

In this work, Nishanth created new knowledge across several important areas of electric machinery, including a new type of axial flux machine that integrates a hydraulic pump into its rotor, the design and control of stator windings that use of multiple air gap fields to enhance torque, and additive manufacturing of axial flux machines. All of this is with a goal of squeezing every kilo possible out of his electric-hydraulic power conversion for off-highway vehicles.

So, congrats Dr. Nishanth! And… we’re excited to report that Nishanth will be continuing with us as a post doctoral researcher.
